7.5 Setting up the DVB-T tuner
The DVB-T tuner can also be setup manually. Use the following steps to setup the
DVB-T tuner.
1. Use the navigation buttons to go to ‘Setup’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
2. Select ‘TV & Rec’.
3. Select ‘TV Region’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select the correct ‘TV Region’ from
the list and press the ‘OK’ button.
4. Select ‘Channel Scan’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select ‘Automatic Scan’ and
press the ‘OK’ button after which the available TV and Radio channels will be
automatically searched. For advanced users: If you want to manual search the
available TV and Radio channels, you can choose ‘Manual Scan’ and press the
OK’ button. You need to set the correct ‘Channel’, correct ‘Bandwidth’ and the
correct ‘Frequency’. Press the ‘Next’ button to start scanning and follow the steps
shown on screen.
5. Select ‘Channel Sort’ and press the ‘OK’ button. The found channels can be
sorted here. Choose between ‘LCN’ (Logical Channel Number), by ‘CH name’
(Channel Name), by ‘Service ID’ and by ‘ONID’.
6. Select ‘REC Device’ and press the ‘OK’ button. Select the device you whish to
record to. Choose between ‘HDD’ and ‘USB’. Make your selection and press the
‘OK’ button.
7. Select ‘REC priority’ and press the ‘OK’ button. You can select whether ‘Manual
REC’ or ‘Schedule REC’ get’s priority. Press the ‘OK’ button to confirm your
selection’. If ‘Manual REC’ has been selected, it means the scheduled recording
will be overruled if you start a manual recording and vice versa.
8.0 Copying media to your media player
(built-in hard disk)
Once the media player has been setup, you can start to copy your media files to the
hard disk of the media player.
8.1 Using the USB (3.0) connection
The media player has a fast next generation USB 3.0 connection. Using the USB 3.0
connection, copying data will be done with incredible speed. The highest possible
transfer rate will be achieved if your computer also has a USB 3.0 connection. If your
computer does not have a USB 3.0 connection, a USB 2.0 connection can still be
used since USB 3.0 is also compatible with USB 2.0.
1. Make sure the media player is completely started.
2. Take the supplied USB 3.0 cable out of the packing.
3. Connect the USB cable to the USB 3.0 connection of the media player (blue USB
connection).
